4 Habits for Inner Peace

How to Use Mentoring
Some people use mentoring only when they are "stuck", and that is useful, but mentoring is most effective when you meet with your mentor on a regular, ongoing basis. That way you never get "stuck", and you maintain your momentum and reach Peace faster. The Course is a difficult path to follow, because the ego is threatened, and it uses everything it has against you. Your mentor's greater experience and tested tools can make your path easier.

Unlike a study group or seminar, which must deal in generalities, mentoring addresses specifically what is going on with you.
Remember that the time that you are paying the mentor for is yours to use. You are in charge of it.

Some of the things that you can do on a mentoring call:

Ask questions about A Course and Miracles’ language, theology, philosophy and concepts.

Learn how to practice the Course in your everyday life.

Get tools that you can use for Peace in everyday situations.

Share your positive experiences for validation. Doubts slow you down.

Talk about your doubts and what you have a hard time accepting in the Course. What conflicts with what you believe or with what you want?

Get help finding, understanding, and eliminating your obstacles to peace.

Bring up specific situations that you wish to transform.

Study the Course with your mentor.

Talk about whatever is on your mind. The topic does not have to have a spiritual theme because your whole life is your spiritual path.
